Tahonas are used in the Roca collection from Patron. Tahonas, two ton stones, are used to gently crush cooked agaves. Both the fibers and juice from the crush are used in both the fermentation and distillation process. Their Anejo is aged in single-use American ex-bourbon barrels for 14 months. It is bottled at 88 proof.
The Anejo tequila has a pleasant amount of baking spices on your palate along with maple syrup and vanilla. The agave notes come through on the palate and the tequila has a rich, full quality in your mouth.
