After a wet winter and moderate weather through spring, August was quite warm which created unique conditions for low sugar and high acid in the berries. The skins were bright, and juice was showing well. The grapes were harvested on August 20th and they were pressed whole cluster and into barrels for the traditional cold fermentation and aging process.
Extremely expressive, balanced and fresh. Beautiful notes of citrus zest, and clementine with a delicate lychee and white peaches. The wine has vibrant acidity with tension and weight on the palate. A long finish lingers with mixed tropical fruit, hints of lemon zest, and a touch of French oak.
